Things you didn’t know about Arcadina. Or maybe you did
Hi ,
I’m Félix, the CEO of Arcadina 👋 – or the one running the show, let’s say. We love using those cool English buzzwords, don’t we?
For over 20 years now, I’ve been running Arcadina with the help of my partner and friend Jose Alberto. I try to help the team do their job well, and then take care of many other things. Maybe one day I’ll tell you a bit about myself, but for now, I’ll spare you the boredom 😉
Most of you probably don’t know much about Arcadina, but some of you do – and you’ve been with us almost since the beginning, maybe even since day one. If that’s your case… congratulations! 🎉 That’s something to be proud of, and it motivates us to keep going.
We’ve been through the ups and downs of the photography industry. The good stuff becomes routine, the bad sticks: from the shift from analog to digital in the early 2000s, to the 2008 crisis, and of course the COVID-19 collapse. Quite the ride, huh? 😅 We’ve never been bored.
Fun fact: our office is in Alzira (Valencia – Spain). Over the years, we’ve changed offices a few times, and the team has evolved too.
Thanks to the internet, we now work with people living far from here (Alzira, Algemesí, Valencia, Dénia, Madrid, Andorra… and beyond). Remote work has allowed us to become a more diverse, professional, and united team. Honestly, they’re amazing 💪
I’ll save the story of our business evolution for another day — it deserves a couple of emails on its own.
And you, as a photographer (or videographer), are also a survivor: you’ve had to adapt to digital, marketing, running a business, managing social media, learning tons of software… and now AI. Hats off if you’re still standing 👏 This is a tough industry that always asks for your best.
One last fun fact: did you know we currently have active clients in 37 different countries? 🌍 I was surprised too! Most of you are from Spain, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Portugal… But there are also clients in Finland or the exotic Aruba islands. Amazing, right? Internet wins again.
Anyway, I’ll leave it here for now ✌️. A couple of days ago I had a spark and thought: I should talk to you more often. So you can get to know us – who we are, where we come from, and where we’re headed (I’ve heard that line somewhere before…). And so I can share ideas, stories, and industry insights that may help you. We’ll see where it takes us.
All the best,
Félix Mezcua
