Arcadina and the GDPR. Does it sound? :)

Hello, let’s see that is the GDPR and how it affects us, both you as a user of our web service and Arcadina as a service provider.

What is the GDPR?

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a regulation of the European Parliament that will be binding as of May 25, 2018.

It is important to know that in Spain, the GDPR replaces the Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data (LOPD), which was the regulation that we were obliged to comply with until now.

Who is it for?

This regulation applies to all EU citizens, by companies that are or are not established in Europe. That is to say, although it is a regulation at a European level, any European company or those companies that have businesses in the European Union that handle personal information of any kind must avail themselves of it.

What Arcadina has done to adapt its services to the GDPR

We have reviewed the Privacy Policy of our web service adapting it to the new regulation. We have also reviewed our Legal Notice. We have also adapted all our subscription forms for both the web service and our newsletter to the new European regulations.

What you must do to make your website comply with the GDPR

When you ask your clients for their name, address, email account, etc. You are collecting personal data. And from now on you must inform about it in your legal notice or privacy policy. We explain how later.

In addition, to help you meet the GDPR in Arcadina we have adapted all the forms of your website by adding a check and explanatory text that the user has to accept.

In general, your user/client will always have to give their confirmation in each service that you offer. For example, you will not be able to send a newsletter to a customer who does not expressly request it.

In the following section of the online help on the GDPR we explain everything in detail.

Thanks for being there!
